Oscillating drive module

The interfacial rheology can be investigated by using an oscillating drop. Using the Oscillating Drive Module, the surface area of a pendant drop is changed with time following a sinusoidal function. From the response in terms of the interfacial tension being related to the change in surface, the elastic and the viscous modulus of the interface depending on the frequency and the amplitude can be determined.
